Abergavenny, Wales - 5th August
Rule

Not just a new location but also a new set-up in 2012. The Abergavenny round is the only round where the road sportive will run on the Sunday of the event weekend rather than the Saturday. So Sunday will be all about riding on skinny tires! This year’s third Vitus Road SPortive will take us to a brand new location – Abergavenny (only 20 miles away from the English border and the gateway to Wales), an area famous for its quality riding but up to now never visited by the Road Sportive or CRC MTB Marathon series. The event is located in a stunningly scenic area in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains - an ideal place for one of the most breathtaking and challenging Road Sportives in the 2012 series.

This new addition to the line-up should bring in a lot of pre-entries. So if you are keen to join us at the Abergavenny round then make sure that you get your entry in soon.

Vitus Road Sportive:
This third round of the Vitus Road Sportive will start and finish in Abergavenny (exact location TBC). On top of this, the ‘double-header’ weekend will feature the usual MTB Marathon action – 4th August 2012. As the mountain bike marathon (Saturday) comes to an end, the road sportive riders will start to descend on the event village.

John Lloyd is once again going all out putting two demanding sportive courses together. Apart from showcasing the fantastic road riding in the area, be prepared to be amazed and rewarded with long, challenging climbs, countless miles of smooth, fast undulating roads and the most picturesque scenery the area has to offer.

For more information, visit the event homepage or go straight to the entry page to secure your entry.
